Become the Dreadnought in Space Marine DLC

Space Marine Dreadnought DLC

Relic Entertainment has announced the January 25 release of Space Marine DLC: The Dreadnought Pack.

Finally, a chance to pilot one of the deadliest war machines of the Warhammer 40,000 universe! The forthcoming Dreadnought Assault Pack will, unsurprisingly enough, allow players to command one of these terrifying killtastic clankers.

Bristling with powerful armaments, the dreadnought is a towering bi-pedal construct that is designed to be versatile enough to support its infantry brethren in their assault with invaluable fire support and fearsome assault capabilities. While fans clamored for the chance to use one of these beasts in the single player campaign, (see our Space Marine Review here) perhaps this DLC inclusion will be enough to satisfy their battle lust.

The DLC pack features a brand new game mode called Dreadnought Assault in which a strategic location is fought over to secure the ability to access one of the elite machines. Presumably whoever gets to spawn the big daddy of 40K will have a huge advantage over the other team who can look forward to some serious punishment.

Both loyalist and Chaos Space Marine factions will have their own version of the dreadnought. In the new game mode, the loyalist dread will be armed with the classic Assault Cannon and Power Fist combo, whereas the Chaos version will be sporting an Auto-Cannon and Power Claw.

The Dreadnought Assault DLC pack also offers a selection of new multiplayer maps, trophies and achievements for avid 40K fans to dive into. The price hasn’t been fixed yet but with the release less than a week away, it won’t be long before fans will find out how much it will set them back to clamber into a dreadnought and really unleash the fury!
