Bruno Bombshell Camps Up London
Comedy Cohens latest creation hits the big screen, along with a loving look back at Ali G and Borat.
Sacha Baron Cohen paraded around London’s Leicester Square last night with the kind of outrageous aplomb that the British public have come to love, and perhaps fear a little.
Opening the premiere of his new film Brüno, the chameleon comic actor was dressed to impress in hotpants and bearskin hat, delivering his latest masterpiece described by The Evening Standard as “an equal opportunities offender.”
With a legacy that began back in 1998, Cohen is responsible for iconic characters that have shaped modern comedy. The man behind the awesome Ali G, Borat and now Bruno has gone from strength to strength over the last few years.
Ali G first debuted on Channel Four’s topical comedy programme The Eleven O’Clock Show. Viewers instantly took a shine to the faux urban bad boy as he befuddled politicians, scientists, army officials, celebrities and all sorts of other people with his rather unique interviewing technique.
Both Ali G and Borat have successfully adapted to the big screen and this year it’s the turn of Bruno, the outrageous, camp and ridiculously risqué Austrian fashionista. To celebrate the wacky world of Cohen and his fictional cohorts let’s remember some of his funniest moments.
Education for the Massive

Bonjour Paris

Austrian Football Camp
Hold on Bruno is gay right? So it makes sense that he’d prefer guys, here he tries to chat up an American football player and spread the word of gay rights.
