Capcom Cocks up Resident Evil: Revelations Package Spelling

Resident Evil Typo

Reviewers and press members have received copies of Capcom’s latest zombie-smashing saga instalment on the Wii, with a little surprising on the packaging.

Unfortunately, a spelling error has found its way past the Capcom checkers and onto the production line packaging of the Wii version of Resident Evil: Revelations.

Or rather, that should be Resident Evil: Revelaitons:

Rather cap-in hand, Capcom have confirmed that the error will carry over into the first US production run of the game:

“It has come to our attention that there was a misspelling on the Resident Evil: Revelations packaging,” a spokesperson for the publisher told Eurogamer.

“We apologise for the mistake, which will be corrected for subsequent productions of the game. We are working on a solution to provide affected customers with the correct packaging. Please visit Capcom-Unity for updates.”

Poor Capcom. There’s really nothing to be done at this stage other than suck it up and endure the good-natured (and less than good-natured) jibing that’s making the rounds on Twitter.

Forget the T and G viruses. It seems someone at Capcom was infected with the TYPE-O virus.
