Potter Star Emma Watson Magical Start at Uni

Harry Potter honey Emma Watson cast her magical spell on Brown University student enrolment this weekend as the US college accepted its most famous fictional witch in to its halls.

The 19-year-old actress – who plays the character Hermione in the Harry Potter series – achieved straight As in her UK A-level exams. She then opted to study in the American Ivy League university in Rhode Island in order to have a chance at having a normal education which would have been virtually impossible studying in Great Britain.

The starlet hopes to gain “relative anonymity” according to reports from the Daily Mail. However, Ms Watson couldn’t help causing a stir when she arrived for her first day and was treated to orientation fun and frolicking with fellow new inductees.

Ms Watson has chosen to study English Literature as her major but has also hinted that she may take a course in Geography in her first year at University. The star will return to the UK during term vacation in order to resume filming the next instalments of the Harry Potter franchise. The final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is due to be split into two films to complete the epic saga.

Fans worried that studying might drag Emma away from a promising career in acting need not worry. “I’m going to university but it doesn’t mean I’m giving up acting,” she said, according to OK! Magazine, “I feel like I do want to continue. I just want a normal experience for a bit.”
