Facebook Gets Facelift on iPhone App
Facebook V3 and Spotify apps available to download.
The world’s most popular social networking site has undergone an overhaul and facelift in the third incarnation of its Apple iPhone application.
The Facebook V3 app which was released online at the app store earlier today has gone to some lengths to be more user friendly and simple to use. The most notable difference with the new app is the new menu layout with nine categories from friends to photos each organised under new icons with a popup menu that now come up from the bottom of the screen.
Users will now be able to view their Facebook profile in landscape as well as portrait, handy for viewing photos of friends which can now be zoomed into with the new app. The photos section has also been upgraded to afford most of the options available on a normal Facebook profile such as writing notes and creating new albums. Users can now upload videos directly to Facebook via the new app.
Of course the best bit about the Facebook app is the price, at a staggeringly affordable £0. In other app news, music streaming site Spotify has had its app approved for the iPhone and iPhone 3G S. The approval has shocked many online pundits, who didn’t believe Apple would allow the “iTunes wrecker” to be downloadable onto its precious iPhone.
Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek said: “We’ve spent significant time and resources to ensure we’ve stuck to Apple’s developer guidelines point by point,” according to TechCrunch. Both apps are now available to download on Apple’s App Store.

I daily receive several mails all saying, there’s a new video available on Facebook, but I have NEVER submitted to receiving any e-mails or notification from this site.
