AEG announce commemorative hologram tickets for O2 ticket holders.

Fans across the world paid tribute to the death of one of music’s greatest ever talents, Michael Jackson, after he died last Thursday in Los Angeles.

The outpouring of grief has been monumental, and echoes of the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death have produced very public scenes of emotive discharge. Of course, the People’s Princess died in an age before Facebook and Twitter, and so following the death of the People’s Prancer, the deluge of comments has eclipsed those of the Princess of Wales.

Among the tributes, many were simple “RIP Michael”, “You will be missed” but some were poetically reverent. Director Martin Scorsese, who worked with Jackson on his music video Bad, told The Daily Telegraph: “Michael Jackson was extraordinary. Every step he took was absolutely precise and fluid at the same time. It was like watching quicksilver in motion.”

Speaking at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, no tribute was more emotionally charged than that of Michael’s sister, Janet Jackson: “To you, Michael is an icon,” she said, “To us, Michael is family. He will forever live in all our hearts.” BET host Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo led a tribute performance of the Jackson 5 hit I’ll Be There in memory of the deceased.

Today, fans who had bought tickets to see Jackson live at the O2 arena from AEG were told they would be offered a full refund, or could receive a special commemorative souvenir ticket, which will feature a hologram of some of Jackson’s signature dance moves.

Randy Philips, president of AEG Live said: “The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known. Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death.”

You had a talent that no-one could have or take away from you. We loved your music and your energy. Robala Ka Khotso, King of Pop. They can say whatever about you but you have made your mark in the world. Hamba Kahle.

We have lost an icon, a true star, a legend that can never be replaced. He was indeed the “KING OF POP”. There will never be another MICHAEL JACKSON. MJ… you will never be forgotten. You may be not here in person but you will always remain in our hearts. You were a good person and God must be very proud of you. You will be loved forever. You made music what it is today, you sang your heart out to millions around the globe, and today you made music apart of our lives. May God bless you and may you rest in peace. We love you and your kids…

Can every person/news station respect Michael and stop praising Joe Jackson? He was – in yesterday’s and today’s world – a child abuser, as stated. Physical and mental, etc. Nothing more and nothing less. Look at what Michael went through. May you rest in peace.

May all involved do what they know Michael would want. Let him be vird and rest in peace on the land he loved and was happy at. And hoping that his children are in the hands of people who love them before and after. Thank you God for not giving me money, it bring the most evil in to our world. Michael you are loved all over the globe, may you rest in peace and your children be in the hands of one whom loved you.

    All my love,
    Marg

Thank you for your innovative music, dancing and spectacular, supremely world-class visual performances. You were truly touched by “The Hand Of God”. You brought a lot of happiness, also joy, to many while alive and your passing will still continue to do so. I was lucky to see your Bad and Dangerous concerts at Wembley Stadium (UK) in 1988 and 1992 – they were were really sensational.

Bless you Michael Jackson (great man). You are a great loss to the world. Rest In Peace.

The expression touched by the Hand of God should not be taken lightly nor Michael Jackson’s great achievements.

This is a time to show respect and not ridicule.

I am sure that the person who initially posted the comment was not referring to Maradona but obviously God himself.

P Diddy had very precisely described the genius of Michael Jackson: “He showed that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life. He made me believe in magic.”
