Lady Gaga Heads Q for New Bond Theme Song
Lady Gaga first choice to sing theme song for new Bond movie.
Lady Gaga is currently top of the list to sing the title theme song for the next James Bond movie according to inside sources.
The Poker Face singer has the iconic look and ridiculous name to follow in the footsteps of Bond girls Pussy Galore, Honey Rider and Holly Goodhead, but it is for her standout vocals that the enigmatic Gaga will feature in Bond 23.

“Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans,” an source close to the production team told The Sun, “Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice. Gaga gas the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad. She’s a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level.”
Should Lady Gaga get the gig, she will be following in the illustrious footsteps of artists such as Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Lulu, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, and Gaga’s own pop idol, Madonna.

Other artists in contention to sing the title sequence tune include Amy Winehouse and Michael Bublé. Winehouse was the front runner to sing the Quantum of Solace theme until she went into rehab for her drug addiction.

Details of the next Bond movie are sketchy, and until a title has been decided, it is simply being referred to as Bond 23. Rumours on the net have been circling that Rachel Weisz, Daniel Craig’s co-star in Dream House could be the villain of the movie.

Given the current fad from Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, MGM are also talking about making Bond 23 in 3D, although the internal struggles at the studios will need to be thrashed out first before any firm decisions can be made.

I took screengrabs of the product placement in Lady GaGa’s video for the song “Telephone”. It’s a veritable orgy of product placement:

No 3D, it just is a terrible idea.
