LeBron James’ 40 Points Sinks Bulls in Game Two
Cleveland destroys Chicago in final quarter of game two of the playoffs.
The Cleveland Cavaliers took an impressive 2-0 lead in the playoffs against the Chicago Bulls as LeBron James sunk 40 points against the Bulls.
The Cavaliers ran away with the game in the final quarter after the teams were tied with 77 points each at the beginning of the fourth. James was at the centre of the dominating fourth quarter display, scoring 15 points and taking the Cavaliers to a 112-102 victory.
Of the 23 shots James took, 16 were scored, an impressive 69 per cent average given the determination and physicality of the game. “They kept scrapping. They would not quit,” James commented to the AFP.
James though was ahead of the pack, knowing that he would need to be on form if the Cavaliers are to progress and clinch the title after finishing this season as regular-season champions. “I watched a lot of film from game one,” the player revealed, “I knew as soon as I caught it they would back up and I would have an opportunity to take a jump shot and I had to make it.”
Make it, he did. James’ 40 points put the Cavaliers in a strong position against the Bulls, but the star knows the pedigree of the Bulls and was taking nothing for granted: “The most important game is game three, that’s what we’re concentrating on.”
James also made eight rebounds and eight assists in a fantastic solo performance which capped a solid team display from the Cavaliers. Joakin Noah put in a spirited performance for the Bulls with 25 points.

Noah is a buffoon. LeBron is a professional, and each shows it. Nuff said.
