Transformers Touch Down in London Town

Stars of Transformers were out in full for th UK premiere of Revenge of the Fallen.
Transformers fever hit the UK last night as the stars of the new film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen made appearances for its Leicester Square premiere.
A huge 16-foot Transformer replica greeted the actors, journalists and fans who turned out for the showing in Leicester Square. The sequel to the 2007 blockbuster is expected to be just as much of a draw, with new fans and older Transformers aficionados turning out in droves.
Based on the hugely popular 80s cartoon, the film is a CGI heavy no-nonsense action spectacular. Of course, no less is expected from director Michael Bay, the mastermind behind previous “screw-the-story-more-huge-explosions” extravaganzas such as The Rock and Bad Boys II.
As the camera lights flashed on the red carpet pretty much all eyes were on the stunning female lead of the film, the incomparable Megan Fox. 
Speaking to The Sun, she set tongues wagging by claiming she would be open to dating a British man:
“I want my next boyfriend to be honest and funny. I haven’t met any of your British men yet – but I wouldn’t rule them out.”
The film once again puts Fox and co-star Shia Labeouf, in the midst of a star-spanning robot war. With the focal point of the story concentrating on the Pyramids, the second Transformers installment promises some jaw-dropping set pieces in Egypt to eclipse the original.
The previous film netted over $780 million at the box office alone, and the sequel is expected to amass even more. Action fans have already been given the likes of Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation to gawp over but Revenge of the Fallen looks set to be THE big hit of the summer.
