Warner Bros Drop Eidos for Batman Arkham Asylum Sequel
Second Arkham Asylum game will be published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
Warner Bros has ditched Eidos Studios from the sequel to the superb Batman: Arkham Asylum and has decided to publish the game itself to line up with other Warner Bros titles including Lego Batman and Terminator Salvation.
Rocksteady Studios will return for the sequel, but Eidos have been removed from the scene. Having witnessed the success of the original, Warner Bros are keen to push the Arkham Asylum sequel themselves. The new teaser trailer for the game can be seen at Arkham Has Moved.com.

In September Time Warner announced that Batman: Arkham Ayslum had sold 2.5 million units worldwide and earned a Guinness World Record as the “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever”. Sitting on a golden ticket, it was hardly surprising that Warner Bros wanted to claim Arkham Asylum 2 for their own publishers.

President of Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Martin Tremblay said: “We are thrilled to build a global game franchise from Batman: Arkham Ayslum, which is receiving an incredible response from gamers and fans of Batman around the world,” according a press statement released on various hosting sites.

“Rocksteady has taken Batman to a new level in the video game space and we are committed to delivering a sequel the fans will love.” Fans tend to get a little twitchy however, when key components that make something so special get changed. On forum boards the overriding sentiment was “Don’t screw this up Warner Bros,” following the departure of Eidos.
Mark Hamil and Kevin Conroy are expected to reprise their voice acting roles as the Joker and the Dark Knight for the sequel.

I just hope they fail miserably on the sequel.
Incredible lack of consideration for the great work done by Eidos in the first game.

I think after you complete the campaign there is nothing to do so a co-op campaign would be cool.
